The early years
The history of our software development & IT outsourcing company starts in 1999. That year the organization was founded as a German-Romanian joint venture in Satu Mare, a small beautiful city in NV of Romania. The founders are two brothers, Adam and Botond Boer. They both have a passion for computing technologies with a special focus on software development. We began indeed with only two people , but with great expectations and the need to deliver great work to get to the next day.
We started the business by developing custom business applications for small and medium companies. Back then we were one of the few software outsourcing service providers in Romania. At the time, the digital era was in its infancy. To keep up with the rapid growth, needing to find skilled software engineers, in 2000 the company has opened a branch in Cluj-Napoca. Located in Transylvania, Cluj-Napoca is one of the largest cities in Romania, known for its strong IT expertise.
Due to its reliability, business ethics and the expertise covering a broad range of technologies, also benefiting from the favorable context the IT market steady experienced since our company has grown continuously.
In 2003, with a partner company in Austria, we have launched the first edition of Vilicotel. Vilicotel is a client-server hotel management software that helps hospitality businesses of all sizes to effectively manage bookings, simplify day-to-day operations, and automate email communication. In 2007 we took full ownership of the product. Since then we manage all the operations, from marketing to organization and management. Today the Vilicotel hotel front desk software is used by hundreds of tourism businesses in Romania and Austria.
The later years
Starting with 2004 have attended numerous events, conferences and trade fairs related to our field. We have exhibited at many fairs in the industry, like CeBIT in Hannover, Germany, for more than 12 years in a row until its closing in 2018. Most recently it is likely to meet us at the GITEX trade show in Dubai and Hannover Messe in Germany.
After five years in the old location, in 2006 we have relocated our Cluj-Napoca office into our current location in the Tetarom Business Park. This gave us the room we needed to expand our team.
Many of the hospitality businesses using our Vilicotel hospitality management software have asked for a POS system for their onsite restaurants, to complement the hotel management software they were already using. In 2011 we have launched VilicoRest, a restaurant management solution that meet the needs of restaurants of all sizes.
Our organization is now an established team of 40+ people, with hundreds of delivered projects. Our team specializes in agile software development services covering all stages of the project lifecycle. From client portals to specialized machine vision systems and everything in between, we got you covered. We have broad technological expertise in web-based, mobile, desktop, IoT, as well as computer vision systems and applications.

We work mostly for customers located in the DACH countries (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). Besides that, we also serve companies from the USA or other European countries such as the Benelux or the Scandinavian countries. We operate from two business locations in Romania: Satu Mare and Cluj-Napoca. Both of the cities are located near academic centers with specialized IT departments.
